These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Clean Bills service. By signing up, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. The service

Clean Bills is a bill reminder service. We send you notifications by WhatsApp and email to remind you when your bills are due. We do not make payments on your behalf, hold any funds, or access your bank accounts. We are not a financial services provider, debt advice service, or payment processor.

2. Subscription and payment

Your subscription costs £0.99 per month, billed monthly in advance. Payment is processed by Stripe. Your first payment is taken immediately upon signup. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.

We reserve the right to change the subscription price with at least 30 days' notice by email. If you do not accept the new price, you may cancel before it takes effect.

3. Cancellation and your cooling-off right

You may cancel your subscription at any time with the cancel option on your bills page (via your manage link), or by emailing hello@cleanbillsapp.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period and no further payments are taken. We do not offer refunds for part-months.

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you also have a 14-day cooling-off right from the day you subscribe. Because the service starts immediately, if you cancel within those 14 days we'll refund your first payment in full, less nothing — just email us or use the cancel option and mention it's within 14 days.

4. Account access

Clean Bills does not use password-based login. You access and manage your account via a secure time-limited link sent to your registered email address. You are responsible for keeping your email account secure.

5. Reminders

We will send reminders for bills you have added 2 days before the due date and on the due date itself, by WhatsApp and email. Reminders are subject to the availability of our messaging providers. We cannot guarantee delivery in all circumstances, including during service outages or if your contact details are invalid.

You remain solely responsible for paying your bills on time. Clean Bills does not accept any liability for missed payments, late fees, or other consequences arising from missed reminders.

You may not use Clean Bills for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that infringes the rights of others. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that misuse the service.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Clean Bills is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from use of the service, including but not limited to missed bill payments or late fees.

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to Clean Bills in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email. Continued use of the service after notification constitutes acceptance.
